A mobile telecommunications company sponsoring an international sporting event in Europe needs to develop an enhanced applications platform that will keep current subscribers engaged, attract new subscribers, and scale easily across its network. XPRESSmp runs a platform with several interactive, differentiated applications. These applications ingest event streams from across the Internet (RSS feed, social network events, etc.) and deliver content continuously to subscribers. XPRESSmp applies queries against the inbound content and pushes new data to users continuously: users can modify content delivery preferences as they are receiving content; and apply actions to the delivery and exchange of media content such as uploading images to a cloud with auto-tagging, sharing, and syndication.

XPRESSmp applies immediate sentiment analysis queries on event stream content to calculate the "mood" of particular events. This sentiment value (positive, negative, neutral) is delivered to users via a dynamic device interface—such as device wallpaper that changes color or pattern to reflect the real-time sentiment of the stream. uCIRRUS has also developed an interactive multi-user application leveraging location-based data from the carrier, where the locations of a high-value grand prize and all users seeking to locate the prize are constantly updated and pushed out to devices. There is no polling for new data, which keeps the load on the network extremely low and enables a continuous connection. Additionally, XPRESSmp provides a visualization dashboard of the complete applications platform so the company can monitor the interactivity from a single, centralized perspective.
